About the artist: 

Christian Murillo, Chicano, born and raised in South Central Los Angeles. Coming from a long line of talented artists, I myself picked up on graffiti, which separated my style from my brother's and sisters. I would walk home from school and notice all the graffiti and the gang hit ups change every once in a while when they would get buffed. So I started to get to work on my lettering, instead of drawing Pokemon. So here we are now almost 20 years later, watching the gang and the graffiti lettering still active, fighting for spots in the hood. A never ending duo. My family, friends and supporters are my inspiration to keep creating art, so that's what I'm going to continue doing. Art is good, all the time.
