About the artist:

Challenging the statement, “That’s just how it is” with more human-centered questions- "How did it get to be that way" & “Does it have to be that way" Nigerian-born Multidisciplinary artist, painter, and sculptor whose work is centered around investigating humanity as a product of culture and social experience, exploring the interconnectedness of the human experience from an afro-diasporic lens. In 2020, They received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Chemistry at Towson University. They have already been included in various group exhibitions including "Learning to Love As I Do" at Motor House, Baltimore, MD. They recently had a solo exhibition "BUSH BOY!" at the Chesapeake Arts Center, Brooklyn Park, MD. This year, they will attend the Nomadic House of Sedulo residency in Paris, France. VILLAGER currently lives and works in Baltimore, MD.
